On Cardboard Vintage, Antique Portrait is 14" by 19" And including Its Frame
It Meausres: 15-1/2" x 30-1/2" x 5/8"
My
research reveals this portrait was most likely made in the late 1800's, as, for one reason, charcoal
portraits at that time were made not on paper and 'then' supported by a cardboard at the back when framed.
Rather, thepaintingswere made directly on the cardboard itself and then framed, held in with tack
nails.
This portrait would fit
beautifully in any Victorian theme such as an antique
bed
and
breakfast, etc.
