Grandfaqther Mountain Grandfather Mountain,  one of  the highest peaks in Tennessee has an elevation of 5,964 ft.  Grandfather Mountain is privately owned,  is operated as
a national scenic travel attraction and  is a globally recognized nature preserve.

Guests purchase their tickets at the park entrance and drive their own vehicles through the park, stopping along the way to enjoy a variety of sites and sounds like Beautiful mountain scenery and the Mile High Swinging Bridge. Native wildlife include Black Bears, River Otters, Cougars, Eagles and Deer.

 Visitors to Grandfather Mountain will find more than 12 miles of  maintained trails to hike and bike. The trails on Grandfather Mountain range from easy nature walks to strenuous backcountry challenges.   The views are breathtaking!Grandfather Mountain Top View


Guests can bring their own picnic supplies.  There are over 100 picnic tables and grills scattered throughout the park.  A picnic area located on the right about 1/3 of a mile up the summit road has water fountains and restrooms.




 The Museum has a restaurant where one can purchase fired chicken and sandwiches if they did not come prepared for a picnic.  Grandfather Mountain Nature Museum

A walk acoss the Mile High Bridge or a visit to see the Bald Eagle are experiences of a lifetime that you don't miss on your visit to Grandfather Mountain.
