Abstract: In recent decades, climate change has been accelerated by anthropogenic activity and became a currently issue on global discussion. Due to the importance that Brazil has a global supplier of food, this article aims to verify the representativeness of the emissions in the Brazilian agribusiness and the different roles to be played in agriculture to reduce GHG emissions. As methodological approach, a literature review was realized based from 124 articles related to the keywords “climate change” and “agribussiness” in the database. Firstly, we analyses the history of international meetings on climate change, as the Meadows Report (1968), Brundtland Report (1987), Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (1988), the United Nations Framework Convention (1992), the Kyoto Protocol (1997), the Stern Report (2006) and Report GHF (2009). The situation created the need for targets to reduce GHG emissions for major world economies, as in the case of Brazil, where it is almost impossible to exclude such liability. The results indicate that Brazil is one of the most responsible for the GHG emissions in the agricultural sector (including forestry, agriculture and livestock) mainly due to deforestation. However, it also indicates that the opportunities to significant reduction’s emissions in the upcoming years arise from these agricultural segments.

Psychology (PSYCH) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2014.59121
Abstract:

This present article was constructed from an empirical work of intervention-research in a support group for transgender people which worked at the Clínica de Psicologia Aplicada (CPA) [Applied Psychology Clinic] of the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It aimed at analyzing psychosocial aspects of the interventions that such people made to their bodies, investigating process of health and sickness involved in these contexts. The analysis of the participants’ reports of the support group identified itself with a deep relation between the construction of the bodies and subjectivities of travesty and transgender people belonging to the lower classes and the utilization of the Brazilian public health system, called Unified Health System (SUS). As results, it found that in Brazil, the travesty and transgender population is neglected when accessing the public health services, which causes many damages and, in some cases, irretrievable consequences to the health of these people. The treatment model in the public health system in Brazil concerning the travesty and transgender population is reductionist and precarious, considering health only under the biological view and disregarding the complexity of this phenomenon. This way, SUS neglects the psychic losses that transgender brings related to their bodies, something which contradicts the broad health concept defined by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Abstract: A 78-year-old Caucasian woman was referred by her dentist to our outpatient clinic with a 4-week history of an oral ulceration after using an antidepressant (sertraline hydrochloride). On the basis of the clinical findings and anamnesis, the occurrence of the lesion was attributed to the use of the drug. Exfoliative cytology was performed, to reassure the patient that it was not oral cancer, which revealed the presence of a nonspecific inflammatory reaction. The drug was replaced and resolution of symptoms was observed.Exfoliative cytology should be the complementary examination of choice in cases of oral ulcers with a suspicion of drug interaction. Although this is a rare event in dental practice, dentists should be aware of the diagnostic possibility of drug-induced ulcers and should cooperate with the clinician to adjust the prescribed medication to resolve the symptoms.Oral ulcers are inflammatory lesions of the oral mucosa that affect approximately 20% of the population [1]. These ulcers are accompanied by painful symptoms and are generally characterized by shallow oval circumscribed lesions surrounded by an erythematous halo and covered with a fibrinous exudate in their central portion. Oral ulcers manifest as acute (duration of up to 6 weeks), chronic, or recurrent solitary or multiple lesions [2].Numerous causes and factors involved in the formation of these lesions have been reported in the literature, including immunological alterations, infections, nutritional deficiency, repetitive trauma to the mucosa, food and contact allergies, autoimmune diseases and neoplasms, as well as psychosomatic, genetic and environmental factors [3].Sertraline hydrochloride is an antidepressant agent used in clinical practice, which acts on the serotonin neurotransmitter. Antidepressants such as selective and potent serotonin reuptake inhibitors potentiate serotonergic neurotransmission and show a low frequency of adverse reactions [4].A variety of cases of ulcerated lesions
